What they’re saying about T2S…

“Mr Umaña is a passionate coach and a teacher that is willing to help players succeed by getting them prepared for high school or the collegiate level. His drills helped me react and respond in game like situations.  To tell you the truth, without his mind, his creativity, and his work ethic, I wouldn't be the player that I am today.  Thank you Mr. Umaña.”

“I've known Mr. Umaña for a while and he has always helped me out with improving my game.  Since my sophomore year at Ridgefield Park HS, Umaña has assisted both the boys and girls varsity coaches with innovative drills that challenged us to perform at a higher level.  Living close to Grant School, he would always come to train me and a few of the other girls on the team.  I have learned a lot from Mr. Umaña.  Not only has he taught me things to better my skills, he has also taught me to be respectful and do the right thing. Any kid would be lucky to have him as their trainer, he is a very good person and this experience for these kids would be great”

"Coach Nate has helped my game greatly over the summer 2015. He improved my footwork, ball handling, & shooting. He made me confident in the areas I was weak at.  Overall, Nate made me a better player for the 2015-2016 senior season.  Using what he taught me  made me one of the top scorers and placed me second team All-Bergen County."

First off, Happy Anniversary to one of the best Trainers!

"I know my daughter would say the same. My daughter has been going to different training camps for over 2 1/2 years. I was willing to drive as far as possible just to get her the best training possible. The unfortunate thing was, some were too far, too expensive, or there weren’t any girls in her age group. This would upset me since I was paying and driving far to hear my daughter say, "no-one ever gives me the ball." It wasn’t until I was told there was one in town, that I felt the need to go check it out. I was looking for a place that trained the kids well, inexpensive, and not too far. Well, T2S totally exceeded my expectations and more. It didn’t feel like my daughter was put to the side because she happened to be the only girl in the group which is what would happen a lot. It turns out that many girls were training with T2S. Not only that, the way Umaña and Lopez run their training was different. EVERYONE was given an equal chance. The type of drills and training they run allow ALL CHILDREN to excel. My daughter comes out of her training PUMPED. She plays with so much confidence. Her ball handling has improved immensely and I can’t see her training anywhere else. HOPEFULLY, T2S will start a Girls Travel Team for my daughter’s age group. Trust me; I’ll be the first one to sign up!!!"

"Coach Nate has known me ever since I was a sophomore in High school. He recruited me to play for an aau team he helped coach with one of his friends, the New Jersey Gazelles. Nate helped me with a lot in my game, which molded me into the player I am today, he always pushed me and worked me hard in every drill we did, and always encouraged me even when it wasn't me at my best. He helped me a lot with my ball handling skills, and also with some work down in the post. All the work he had helped me with transitioned into my senior season of High School. If it wasn't for Nate I don't think I would have reached my full potential as a basketball player and ended up playing collegiately."

“I have a lot to thank Mr. Umaña for.  As my 8th grade science teacher, Umaña was the first one to believe in my academic ability.  Umaña also believed in my game.  Since the summer of my sophomore year, Umaña would dedicate his time to work out and train me and other players on the varsity team. (Nate, Warren, Steven Owens and some younger guys who showed potential. Umaña’s workouts and his ability to strengthen my weaknesses increased my game.  His time and effort was the main reason for my success throughout my junior year. I still, to this day, cherish anytime Umaña texts me for a workout session.  The man is basketball savvy.  He can pinpoint the minor details that make a big difference.  I thank him so much for being there throughout my high school years and hopefully he is able to continue helping me through college.”

“Both my children are enrolled in the T2S program, ages 13 and 9, and both have improved significantly as young basketball players, which has been evident during competition playing. The T2S coaching strategy is to demonstrate proper technique using a hands-on approach through several repetitive drills, while also building endurance and confidence. While it's hard work, the coaches also make it fun for the kids.  My kids look forward to going to training sessions and encourage their friends to sign up.
If your child is looking to improve their game and also learn teamwork, confidence and control ... T2S is a sure fit!”

"T2S Academy is a team focused, energetic, well-run program.  The first day I saw my son Aidan training with Larry and Nathan I knew this was the place for him.  They both have the passion, dedication & resources to take beginners through advanced players to the next level.  Aidan is more confident, a better ball player, ball handler, defender, shooter and thinker...I am grateful to have come across T2S Basketball Academy.

T2S is an excellent Basketball Training Program.  I was blown away at how my daughter has already developed the game through Larry's ball handling strategies shown with shooting, defense, and passing the ball.  In just a few sessions, I could see how Marina has gained confidence in learning her new sport.  I would recommend T2S to all my friend's kids who are interested in learningthe game or refreshing their Basketball skills!!
